Location: Aberdeen

Hourly rate: £13.45 per hour

Hours: 25 hours per week (2.5 hours in the morning, 2.5 hours in the afternoon)

Overview

First Bus is firmly committed to offering a quality service to pupils and their families and schools. We therefore need to ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils, drivers and escorts on home to school transport.

All escorts will need to establish good relationships:

• With the children

• With their parents/carers

• With the drivers of the vehicles

• With schools

Key Accountabilities

• Supervise all passengers whilst on the School Bus as part of home to school transport

• Responsibility  for the Health and Safety, Comfort and welfare of pupils throughout the journey

• Ensuring all passengers have their bags and equipment and seat belts fastened

• Collect pupil from parents/ carers at designated stops and ensure return in the same manner

• Maintain the home school transport register for all passengers

• Become familiar with the route from school to be assistance to the driver

We are looking for someone who is a good communicator and gets on well with people. You must be patient, reliable, calm under pressure and always work within recognised safe systems of work.
