We’re a purpose led business with a clear plan for our future. Ensuring that our business continues to grow in an ever changing world is a challenge, which is why our transformation programme is designed around sustainable principles. It’s based around how we work with the communities we serve, moving to eliminate harmful emissions, looking after our teams around the country, and providing a service that generates the revenues needed to build the transport business of the future.

Our Communities

We operate across the UK, from Cornwall to Aberdeen. Each of our communities is different, with all sharing the need to transport people quickly, safely, and in comfort to where they need to be, whether that is getting to work or getting to a night out. We support that with an amazing infrastructure that keeps our buses on the road, and an approach that brings in newer, all electric buses that have higher levels of comfort, with less noise and vibration. 

Going for zero emissions

We are rolling out our new bus fleet and making depots all-electric as part of a change programme that sees us all electric by 2035. Changing an entire fleet of over 4,500 buses doesn’t happen overnight. It’s the result of careful planning and strategy, designed to make the transition as smooth as possible. An all-electric depot has huge benefits all round – for the environment, for communities and our people. With a different drive system, we’re making driving electric buses a more accessible career, as well as one that provides a much better working environment.

Sustainability our way is agile, always looking for opportunities to advance, and always with the intention of doing the right thing for everyone. It’s a delicate balancing act that involves all of our teams, from recycling initiatives to investing in our depots in every area of the country. There’s still a lot to do, but we’re working on it.
