🔧 What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our team, you'll:
Supervise and support our workshop staff during your shift.
Ensure all vehicles meet Company, TfL and VOSA standards.
Make sure enough clean, reliable vehicles are ready for service.
Respond quickly to breakdowns, minimising lost mileage.
Oversee repairs, inspections and documentation such as MOT and rota planners.
Liaise with service controllers, stores and suppliers to keep everything running smoothly.
Monitor quality, cost-effectiveness and timeliness of engineering work.
Champion Health & Safety in the workplace.
🧰 What We're Looking For
Essential:
Qualified Engineer (Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Proven supervisory experience – able to lead, motivate and coach.
Previous bus industry experience.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Solid knowledge of health & safety standards.
Organised, methodical and calm under pressure.
Flexible, self-motivated and a strong team player.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
Agresso and Maximo experience.
PCV licence.
