About the Role

As our Service Controller in OCC, you'll be at the heart of improving service control recording, including mileage coding and the implementation of effective curtailment methods. You'll lead on identifying training needs, designing and delivering engaging programmes, and ensuring full compliance with TfL Audit standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying technical and soft skills training needs for Mobile and iBus Controllers.
• Designing, delivering, and completing training to ensure staff meet TfL compliance audit standards.
• Auditing mileage recording and service control activities to identify and correct poor performance.
• Investigating issues raised from TfL compliance audits and working with internal teams to resolve them.
• Analysing Other Deductible (OD) mileage and working collaboratively to minimise miscoding.
• Reviewing and improving service delivery processes within the OCC to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Essential:
  • Extensive knowledge of TfL mileage coding categories.
  • Experience implementing and recording service control strategies.
  • Strong people management and coaching/mentoring skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel).
  • No Live awards on record
• Desirable:
  • Detailed route knowledge of First Bus London's network.
  • Process mapping skills.
  • Working knowledge of the iBus system and Hyperion reporting suite.
