About The Role
At First Bus, every journey starts with our people. Behind the scenes, our skilled engineering teams make sure our fleet is safe, reliable, and ready to keep communities moving. Now we're looking for a Roadside Service Team Member to join our team based at our Leeds – Bramley depot.
As a Roadside Service Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:
- To carry out minor vehicle repairs to defined quality standards to keep our fleet moving
- Carrying out routine vehicle servicing in line with our standard operating procedures
- To attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
- To ensure all parts are booked out from stores using the correct procedure
- To adhere to good housekeeping practices including general tidiness in the workshop and the return of all tools and equipment to their designated place.
- Taking part in training and development to grow your skills
- Working with full PPE and overalls provided
Location: Leeds – Bramley
Working Pattern: Nightshift 10pm-6am, 37 hours over 5 days
Hourly Rate: £14.17 per hour
About You
- Do you have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e City & Guilds level 1 & 2)?
- Are you familiar with the safe operation of workshop equipment including, hydraulic vehicle lifts, battery chargers and starters, pressure wash and automatic washing equipment, drilling machine, torque wrenches, pedestal grinders and general portable equipment (i.e. air guns, drills, electric and pneumatic hand tools etc)?
- Do you hold a valid UK drivers licence?
- Do you have, or are capable of obtaining a full PCV licence and forklift truck licence if required?
- Are you a UK resident?
