About the role - PSV/HGV Mechanic

Do you want to be part of our energetic team of HGV/PSV engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses? If yes, then this PSV/HGV Mechanic position at our Kings Lynn depot could just be the job for you!

It offers technical up-skilling with the potential to gain experience working on our state-of-the-art electric vehicles and plenty of career progression.

For helping keep our fleet on the road, you'll earn a good hourly payrate and great rewards & benefits (see below).

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• The main role of this position is maintaining our fleet of vehicles at Kings Lynn to the highest standard, carrying out fault diagnosis, vehicle safety inspections, breakdowns and preventive maintenance. 

• The successful applicant will be trained how to use the depot forklift. 

• To fully comply with all HS&E legislation along with Group Policies

• To fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.

• Maintain and develop technical skills as required

Location: Kings Lynn (there may be occasional requirement to work at our partner depot in Norwich)

Working Hours: 39 hours per week - 5 over 7 days early shifts between 5am-5:30pm

Hourly Rate: £19.33 per hour £39,201 per annum with a weekend premium of £20.73 per hour if any of your working days are on a weekend

About you

• A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e. City & Guilds Level 1&2)

• Ability to multi-skill within an Engineering Environment

• A flexible approach to working hours

• An aptitude to develop others within the Engineering Team

• The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors

• A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential
