We're looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Bristol to play a vital role in ensuring our people are paid accurately, compliantly, and on time. This is an opportunity to develop your expertise within a business that actively supports career progression and professional development.
About the role
You'll be responsible for delivering accurate weekly and monthly payrolls, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, and acting as a trusted point of contact for payroll-related queries.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payroll accurately
Administer new starters, leavers, contractual changes and pay progression updates
Manage statutory and contractual payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, ShPP, etc.)
Apply payroll deductions in line with company agreements and legislation
Complete payroll checks, test runs and final processing
Prepare BACS documentation and payroll reports
Handle payroll queries professionally and efficiently
Collaborate closely with HR, Operations and Finance teams
About you
Previous payroll administration experience, ideally working in a complex organisation
Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Confident communicator at all levels
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Committed to confidentiality and excellent customer service
End-to-end payroll processing experience is desirable, but not essential
Occasional flexibility around payroll deadlines will be required.
