We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support our payroll function for 6 months through a critical transition period. This role will play a key part in maintaining service continuity, improving payroll processes, and supporting the wider team during a period of change.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
- Manage day-to-day payroll administration and processing activities
- Support the reduction of payroll backlogs while maintaining high service levels
- Provide cover for key payroll responsibilities
Process Review & Improvement
- Review and redesign existing payroll processes, workflows, and task allocation
- Identify inefficiencies, duplication, and gaps within current operations
- Realign responsibilities across the team to improve effectiveness and resilience
- Standardise documentation and streamline workflows
- Ensure payroll records and processes are audit-ready
About You
- Proven experience in payroll processing within a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of payroll controls, compliance, and audit requirements
- Experience reviewing and improving payroll processes
- Ability to operate independently and hit the ground running
