About the Role – Vehicle Technician

We are looking for a driven vehicle technician that has HGV/bus or coach experience; as well as ex-forces candidates with an QQI Level 6 in mechanics looking for a long-term secured career that offers development and progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections, vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and interim and annual servicing
• Ensure roadworthiness and statutory compliance for our growing fleet of Large Public Service Vehicles (LPSVs)
• Conduct ad hoc and reactive repairs both on-site and off-site as needed
• Handle daily defect checks and running repairs
• Maintain high quality and safety standards by adhering to First Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) legislation, group policies, and relevant engineering SOPs
• Liaise with internal and external spare parts suppliers to ensure timely repairs
• Participate in on-the-job and off-the-job training in Ireland and the UK as required

For helping keep our fleet on the road, you'll earn a good hourly payrate and great rewards & benefits (see below), we'll also provide all your overalls and the basic tools and equipment needed to be successful in your role.

Location: Dublin

Working Hours: 40 per week - open to discussing a shift pattern that works for you

Pay: €48,000 - €52,000 per annum, depending on experience

About You

• A minimum NFQ/QQI Level 6 standard or equivalent qualification (must have) in a mechanical field
• Experience of working on HGV, buses or coaches is desirable
• A full category C, D or C+E (ROI) Driving License would be very beneficial
• Diagnostic tool and IT proficient
