Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (flexibility is required outside of standard hours dependent on business needs)

Contract: Permanent 

This is an exciting time to join First Bus to support our FlixBus expansion in Leicester. We're looking for a proactive, confident and organised FlixBus Operations Supervisor to play a key role in ensuring our network runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently—every single day. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the heart of daily operational delivery, ensuring our FlixBus services meet the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering outstanding, reliable day‑to‑day operational performance across the Flix network
  • Acting as the key link between internal Operations teams and FlixBus, ensuring seamless communication and execution
  • Managing and responding to network disruption—planning ahead and reacting quickly when issues arise
  • Ensuring robust compliance with operational processes, SOPs, and EU drivers' hours regulations
  • Supporting the Senior Management Team during incidents and working confidently with emergency services and external authorities
  • Using the FlixBus platform and available data to drive performance improvements and meet operational requirements
  • Providing guidance and oversight on driver duties, spare resources, and real-time driver hours monitoring
  • Delivering both FlixBus and First Bus training to support driver development and performance
  • Playing a key role in restoring disrupted services, supporting incident management, and ensuring compliance with investigation procedures

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience working in a similar operational role, transport experience would be beneficial
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Confidence working across multiple teams and building strong relationships
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving using multiple systems and real‑time information
  • Ability to follow processes, adhere to policies and GDPR requirements, and take initiative where needed
  • Knowledge of EU drivers' hours regulations is an advantage—full training will be provided
