We'd love to hear from if you have a Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent in vehicle mechanics or engineering.

About the role

The successful Mechanic will be responsible for the following duties:

• Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
• Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using hand held data capture devices if applicable
• Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
• Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.
• 37 hour working week

Hourly Rate

• £18.05 p/h + £2,000 JOINING BONUS

Working Shift Pattern

• Working 5 out of 7 days a week, Plus 1 weekend in 6
• Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00,  07:00 -15:00, 08:00 - 16:00, and 10:00 - 18:00
• Saturday & Sunday 06:00 - 12:30pm

 About you

• A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualifications.
• Ability to multi-skill within an Engineering Environment
• A flexible approach to working hours
• A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this)
• Experience of working with buses or coaches would be an advantage
• A basic electrical understanding
