We are looking for a PCV Technician to join our team at our York depot. Do you want to be part of our energetic team of engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of Electric Vehicles? If yes, then this position could just be the job for you!

We'd love to hear from if you're an experienced and qualified PSV/HGV Mechanic with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, and is looking to take the transition into High Voltage vehicle diagnosis & repair.

 About the role

  • Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
  • Carry out vehicle servicing.
  • Be fully conversant with the diagnosis and repair of vehicle High Voltage electrical systems including, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring systems and E.C.U.
  • Be fully familiar with all relevant diagnostic equipment including multi meters, temperature gauges, micrometres, vernier gauges and E.C.U. diagnostic computer equipment.
  • Be able to coach and mentor apprentices, and pass knowledge on to your engineering colleagues.

We'll provide your overalls (PPE).

Shift pattern: Mon- Fri (40 hrs p/wk.)

Pay rate: £17.99 p/hr (£37,419)

About you

  • Must be Mechanical/Electrical NVQ Level 3 qualified.
  • Must be able to obtain PCV Licence (we will help towards this)
  • Must have full cat b driving licence.
  • Minor Body Repair Skills advantageous but not essential.
  • Must have or be willing to train to IMI level 3 and 4 High Voltage qualifications (we provide the training)
