About the role - Mechanical Fitter 

At First Bus, we're proud to keep our communities moving – and our engineers play a key role in making that happen. We're currently looking for a proactive and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team at Sheffield. We'll provide your overalls (PPE) needed to do your job successfully.

Responsibilities include:

• Vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing and repairs including MOT preps in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures
• To fully comply with all HS&E legislation along with Group Policies
• To fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain and develop technical skills as required

Location: Sheffield - Olive Grove

Working Hours: 4 days on 4 days off

Pay: £21.61 per hour

About you

• Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1&2) qualification?
• Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
• Must have a full UK driving license
• A PCV licence is desirable or show a willingness to obtain PCV licence is essential as we will help you obtain your PCV
• Experience of working with coaches would be advantageous, but not a necessity
