My first year was a significant shift, moving from over 10 years at Police Scotland into a completely new organisation. There were new roles to understand, fresh stakeholders to connect with, and processes to learn from scratch. One of the most rewarding parts was building a strong, collaborative team environment where everyone felt aligned and motivated toward shared goals.
I was able to introduce new recruitment processes, streamline workflows, and implement strategies that improved candidate experience. It was challenging at times, but seeing the team come together, relationships strengthen, and measurable results emerge made it an incredibly fulfilling year.
