From my perspective, one of the biggest opportunities for First Bus right now is the scale of transformation happening across the business. The industry is changing quickly — from decarbonisation and fleet investment through to how we use data, technology, and new ways of working — and that creates a real opportunity to reshape how we operate and how we attract talent.

For my department specifically, the opportunity is to continue evolving Talent Acquisition from a more transactional function into a true strategic partner. That means hiring for future skills, improving candidate experience, making better use of technology and insight, and building stronger pipelines for critical roles, particularly in engineering, operations, and specialist professional areas.
