DHDerek H. Senior Talent Acquisition Partner
I’ve most valued my colleagues during high-pressure recruitment periods, for example when we’ve had urgent hiring demands, tight training start dates, or sudden attrition that meant we needed to move quickly.
In those moments, collaboration is everything. Whether it’s hiring managers making time for interviews at short notice, depot teams supporting assessment days, or fellow recruiters sharing candidates and best practice, it really highlights how much we rely on each other to keep things moving.
I especially value colleagues who communicate openly and work in partnership rather than in silos. In talent acquisition, success is rarely down to one person it’s a team effort from attraction through to onboarding. When everyone pulls together with a shared goal, that’s when you really feel the strength of the team.
Have a question of your own?
I am currently doing my PVC training and have my test on the 19th May. Once I pass (hopefully) I am after doing either part time driving or ad-hoc bus driving work. Is this something you offer?

It says "Held a driving licence for 6 months". Does this mean simply having a licence for 6 months or driving experience of 6 months?
