Hi. Just wondering if the opportunity exists for part time.
asked a question to Gillian M.
I am a serving Police officer rapidly approaching retirement. About 3 years. I am looking at viable options for local work with a degree of flexibility and possibly the option to train/work in the lead up to finishing my current employment.

Hi Tom
Thanks for reaching out and for sharing a bit about your background. It sounds like you’re planning ahead for the next stage of your career, which is a really great approach.
To help me point you in the right direction, could you let me know the types of roles or areas you’re particularly interested in? For example, are you looking for something customer-facing, operational, or perhaps in management? Also, any preferences around location be great.
That way, I can keep you in mind for suitable opportunities and let you know about roles that might fit your plans.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. To answer your questions.
1. I am currently in the Basildon area, so my preference would be there.
2. Role wise. Probably open to ideas. However, I was thinking driving. TBH after nearly 30 years in my current role, my aspiration is minimal stress and a degree of flexibility.
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Tony
Have a question of your own?
If I am in college for 17 - 20 hours a week, Can I still be a trainee bus driver with shifts that work around my timetable?
