If someone is studying at The University of Sheffield is it possible if they could work as a bus driver or not?

    Yes, we welcome students from University to apply to work as bus drivers with First Bus. We have had university students working with us before, and it can be a great way to earn alongside your studies. The main thing to keep in mind is that the role does involve shift work, so you’ll need to be flexible with your availability, as some shifts may be early mornings, evenings, or weekends. Depending on the depot some may offer part time roles whilst others only have Full time vacancies available.

    Oh right but if people who is studying at University of Sheffield can they pick which shift is available like night shifts or do they have to do some of the shifts from early mornings to afternoon depending on their studies at university?

    Hi John, unfortunately we do not have the option to pick a shift, however we will look at shift patterns available that work around your studies. We look into peoples circumstances on a individual basis, so if you decide to apply for a role with us we can speak with you to discuss your availability and link in with the depot to see if we have any suitable options for you.
